Came in for a late lunch before a business function. The vibe is great, very welcoming. My bartender was quick to greet me and take my order. Went with comfort food, grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was so good, I almost licked the bowl. Totally hit the spot. Good food, good drinks and friendly staff. Definitely will be back.

Seated at 6:00 on a Tuesday right away. Up front with the bar area is very loud but towards the back with the restaurant seating is spacious and comfortable. The meatloaf was extremely tender and the mashed potatoes were almost as good as moms. The french fries or a substitute for brussel sprouts because I do not like them and they came with ketchup and I believe some kind of mustard on the side which was very good.

The beat and goat cheese salad was good but if you don't want any red on your meat you should probably ask for it well done. Medium well was definitely presented as medium and very pink. Still very delicious.

If you get the chocolate chip cookies do not touch the cast iron or you will burn yourself. This is very hot and you have to wait for it to cool down or you will burn your mouth but it is super delicious. Also the chocolate and raspberry was very rich and heavy but personally I could have used a lot more raspberry. Service was fast prompt and very appropriate. I believe everybody is adding 4% to the bill now so that is common but beware in case you are in town and not expecting it.
